Silence to Signals

Unlocking communication for non-speaking autistic children

A Company I Co-Founded

I co-founded Silence to Signals with my wife, Dr. Catherine C. Acotto, PhD, CCC-SLP. She has spent her entire career with non-speaking and minimally speaking autistic children, and that clinical work is the foundation everything here is built on. I built the course, the platform and the business around it.

It's a course for parents — six modules, twenty-four lessons, twenty-four worksheets — built on the Silence to Signals™ Communication Framework and its six-stage SIGNAL Path: See the child. Interpret the behavior. Get in sync. Normalize symbols. Anticipate breakdowns. Layer communication.

2000

Dr. Acotto has practiced full time as a speech-language pathologist since September 2000.

50,000+

Clinical hours, all of them with the same population.

24

Lessons across six modules, each with its own worksheet.

Why We Built It

Twenty-six years of practice reaches the families on one caseload. Without a business around it, that's where it stops. Building the business that carries it to parents everywhere is my half of this, and it's the clearest example I have of why I do this work at all.

The course launches November 1.
